Facing life’s challenges can be overwhelming, especially when they pile up faster than solutions seem to come.
Army veteran (‘87-’91) Jacob* came to Permian Warrior Partnership (PWP) seeking assistance with his utilities. He was having to undergo a major surgery and lost his job due to his health conditions. Due to the number of required appointments while waiting for his surgery to get scheduled, Jacob was unable to hold a job, though he wanted to work. He sought out unemployment benefits, which were now running out due to the long wait.

Ever wondered what $10 could do? It can save the lives of veterans like the one you're reading about in this story. Donate $10 a month and help us reach veterans before a crisis occurs. Together, we can do better. Our veterans deserve better.
Breanna, PWP Case Coordinator, made several calls to various programs to help Jacob, and reached out to Casa De Amigo to verify they worked with his utility company, which they did. Casa De Amigo called Jacob the next day and his utility bill was paid by the end of that week. Â
Jacob had also mentioned that he couldn't afford his phone bill, but needed it for his mental health appointments. PWP was successful in finding a program that will support his phone payments until he can get back on his feet, ensuring he won’t miss any appointments.Â
